The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck‑scale facilities, and to design and construct a new scale house building, two inbound/outbound truck scales, and associated site improvements at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes full demolition, earthwork, pavement, storm‑water infrastructure, MEP systems, fencing, gate automation, signage, and landscaping, with the requirement to meet substantial completion by December 31 2026 and final completion by May 3 2027. • Demolition of existing scale house, scales, and related fence (≈1,470 LF). • New 2‑story scale house building with complete architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Construction of two truck scales, foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and remote‑display poles. • Extensive site work: grading, concrete pavements (≈200,000 SF total), curbs, drainage (pipes, culverts, rip‑rap), fencing (2,700 LF new), remote‑operated gate, bollards, wheel stops, signage, and seeding/landscape restoration (≈9.55 AC). • Coordination of utility tie‑ins, traffic control, erosion‑control measures, and compliance with Kansas weight‑and‑measure regulations.
