The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, construct a new scale‑house building, install two new truck scales with foundations and catwalks, and perform extensive site development including grading, paving, utility installation, fencing, and landscaping at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The contract is a firm unit‑price bid with liquidated‑damage provisions for late completion. • Demolition of existing scale house, truck scale, and associated utilities. • New 1‑story scale‑house building (architectural, structural, MEP) and two heavy‑duty truck‑scale foundations, approach slabs, and metal catwalks (delegated design). • Civil works: earthwork, sub‑grade prep, concrete pavement (4″ & 8″), curbs, parking lot, entrance improvements, drainage, rip‑rap, and erosion‑control measures. • Utilities: water, sanitary sewer, electrical service, standby generator, conduit for future fiber, and a 1,500‑gal septic tank with leach field. • Site security and access control: fencing, remote‑operated gate, bollards, wheel stops, signage, queue lights, and guard rails where required.
