TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT BRUCE WOODBURY DRIVE AND NEEDLES HIGHWAY

The Clark County Department of Transportation is soliciting qualified firms to construct a fully operational traffic signal system at the intersection of Bruce Woodbury Drive and Needles Highway. The scope includes demolition of existing improvements, roadway reconstruction (pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalks, medians, ramps with tactile panels), installation of traffic signals and related ITS equipment, street lighting, valve box/manhole adjustments, traffic control, dust control, and final site stabilization with approved materials. Bidders must address utility coordination (including an 18‑inch transmission main) and provide fill/excavation quantities. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder following a standard bid opening on September 21, 2026. • Demolition, removal, and disposal of existing roadway assets. • New pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalks, medians, and tactile‑warning ramps. • Installation of traffic signal hardware, controllers, and ITS components. • Street lighting upgrades and utility adjustments. • Traffic and dust control measures during construction. • Site stabilization using pre‑emergent herbicide and 3/4‑inch #67 aggregate rock. • Required coordination with Clark County’s water transmission main and potential potholing during construction.
