Construction of Traffic Signal Houston School Road and West Wintergreen Road

The City of Lancaster is seeking bids for the construction of a traffic signal at the intersection of Houston School Road and West Wintergreen Road. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services required for the construction of a fully operational traffic signal. The scope of work includes traffic signal poles and mast arms, drilled shafts, signal heads, pedestrian push buttons and signals, controller cabinet, conduit and wiring, curb ramps, pavement markings, signage, and all associated civil, electrical, and restoration work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work as described in the line items. The project is expected to commence upon award of the contract and shall be substantially completed within 210 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. • The contractor shall provide a total project cost as a not to exceed (NTE) amount. • The contractor shall perform all work as per the 100% Construction Plans under Scope of Work documents. • The contractor shall provide evidence of general liability, worker’s compensation, and automobile liability insurance as required by the City. • The contractor shall furnish a maintenance bond to the City to run two (2) years from the date of final acceptance of the infrastructure improvements by the City. • The contractor shall demonstrate previous experience with similar projects and a strong history of adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
