Description
The City of McDonough is seeking a qualified professional consulting firm to provide code revision services for Chapters 15, 16, and related updates to Chapter 17 of the City's Code of Ordinances. The selected consultant will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, restructuring, and modernization of the code provisions, ensuring consistency with the City's recently adopted Zoning Ordinance. The scope of work includes project initiation, code assessment, code restructuring, drafting and rewriting of chapters, coordination with Chapter 17, regulatory development for the Main Street District, stakeholder engagement, and adoption support. The consultant will also provide training and orientation sessions for City staff. Key deliverables include a code assessment report, code reorganization matrix, draft code revisions, and final adoption-ready documents.
• The project is expected to last approximately 12 months, with the potential to extend up to 18 months.
• The consultant will work closely with City staff and stakeholders throughout the project.
• The City will provide access to relevant documents and designate a primary point of contact.
• The consultant will provide a detailed project schedule and adhere to the agreed-upon timeline.
• The City reserves the right to terminate the contract for cause or convenience.
