The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is seeking qualified contractors to replace the existing propane‑operated backup generators at the Montgomery Post and the Montgomery Radio Shop with new natural‑gas‑powered units. The work is turn‑key, requiring delivery, installation of an 18‑20 kW generator, an automatic transfer switch, all electrical and gas‑fitting connections, necessary permits, testing, commissioning, and training of ALEA personnel. The solicitation includes mandatory site‑visit and pre‑bid conference requirements, and bidders must hold Alabama business, electrical, and plumbing/gas‑fitter licenses, as well as provide three commercial references.
• Install 18‑20 kW natural‑gas generator and NEMA‑rated automatic transfer switch (100/200 A).
• Provide all permits, debris removal, safety barriers, and complete testing/commissioning with a five‑year warranty.
• Conduct mandatory site‑visit on June 15, 2026 and attend a mandatory pre‑bid conference the same day; submit questions by June 30, 2026; bids due July 20, 2026.
• Contractor must hold Alabama General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, and Plumbers & Gas Fitters licenses; provide $2 M liability insurance and workers’ comp coverage.
