The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a consultant to provide construction management services for the reconstruction of the main sewage pump system, rehabilitation of the final settling and aeration tank systems, and replacement of the process air blowers at the Owls Head Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. The scope of work includes lining the existing 96-in force main with carbon fiber reinforced plastic, replacing the 84-in discharge header and 66-in risers, replacing the five main sewage pumps, and installing new variable frequency drives. The consultant will also provide construction management services for the rehabilitation of the final settling tanks, including the application of an epoxy coating and replacement of mechanical equipment. • The project is located at the Owls Head Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility in Brooklyn, New York. • The facility serves Western Brooklyn and is permitted for a dry-weather flow of 120 Million Gallons per Day (MGD). • The project includes the replacement of the main sewage pump system, including the pumps, motors, and associated equipment. • The project also includes the rehabilitation of the final settling tanks, including the application of an epoxy coating and replacement of mechanical equipment. • The consultant will be responsible for providing construction management services, including project planning, scheduling, and coordination. • The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and applicable laws and regulations.
