The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a firm fixed price contract for two Relative Humidity Calibration Standards built to specifications. The equipment will be used by the National Weather Service Sterling Field Support Center (SFSC) Temperature and Humidity Laboratory (HTL) to provide internal calibration for 16 humidity probes and accuracy testing services for programs testing new humidity sensing equipment. The replacement dewpoint reference must meet specific performance criteria, including dew/frost point measurement range, accuracy, and reproducibility. The equipment must also have a front-facing digital display, a heated hose for gas sampling, and a sample gas circuit made of 316L stainless steel.
Some key requirements include:
• Dew/Frost Point Measurement Range: Equal to or better than -62°C to 54°C
• Dew/Frost Point Accuracy (Max): +/- 0.1°C
• Reproducibility (Max): +/- 0.05°C
• RH Measurement Range at 20°C: 1 – 100%
• Display Resolution: Less than or equal to 0.01°C
• ppmv, minimum: 2.5
The contractor must provide a calibration certificate and sticker for every unit, and the equipment must be capable of operating in a standard laboratory environment with a temperature range of 15°C to 35°C and a RH range of 20% - 70% RH.
