The City of Salina is seeking a contractor to demolish the existing scale‑house and truck scale, and to construct a new scale‑house building, two truck scales, associated foundations, catwalks, and extensive entrance‑way improvements at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes demolition, earthwork, utility coordination, concrete paving, storm‑water controls, fencing, lighting, signage, and gate automation, while maintaining continuous landfill operations. • Demolition of existing scale‑house and removal of the old truck scale. • New 2‑story scale‑house building with structural, MEP, and interior finishes; two truck‑deck scales (inbound/outbound). • Full site civil work: grading, fill, sub‑grade prep, new concrete pavement (≈ 99,631 SF each for 4″ and 8″ sections), curbs, parking, and drainage improvements. • Installation of storm‑water BMPs, erosion control, fencing, lighting, signage, bollards, remote‑operated gate, and utility services (water, sewer, electrical, conduit for future fiber). • Requirements for black‑finished hardware, dowel‑bars in pavement joints, remote display poles, and compliance with KDOT specifications.
