Description
The Department of the Navy is soliciting bids for the supply of screws, specifically the SCREW,CAP SLFLKG, to be used in a crucial shipboard system. The material must be manufactured in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing number 7384567, part 165. The contractor must provide a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 and maintain configuration control. The delivery schedule includes submission of certification data 20 days prior to delivery, PNSY review/acceptance of certification data 18 working days after receipt, and final delivery of material within 200 days. Key requirements include:
• Thread inspection requirements in accordance with FED-STD-H28 series
• Self-locking screws must be marked with six dots
• Wedge tensile test specimens must be conducted on a full-size fastener for each production lot
• The contractor must maintain a quality system and provide a certificate of compliance
• The contractor must maintain configuration control and change authority for all modifications or changes affecting form, fit, function, or interface parameters of the equipment and its sub-assemblies
