Alief Selected Bathroom Renovations Project

The Alief Independent School District is seeking a general contractor to provide construction services for a bathroom renovation project at several schools. The project scope of work includes interior restroom demolition and renovations, such as toilet specialties, ceramic tile, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. The project is expected to start on May 31, 2026, and be completed by July 31, 2026. A pre-bid conference was held on February 18, 2026, and campus walks were scheduled for February 24 and 25, 2026. • The project involves renovations at multiple schools, including Elsik High School, Heflin Elementary, Alief Middle School, Smith Elementary, Boone Elementary, and Rees Elementary. • The contractor will be required to provide a $250,000 allowance. • New in-wall plumbing carriers for toilets, urinals, lavatories, and drinking fountains are required for the project. • The contractor will need to verify the existing floor finish and either keep it, deep clean, polish, and protect it if it is terrazzo, or remove and discard it if it is not. • A single budget will be provided for both packages of the project. • The contract will be issued to one single general contractor.
