Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

This public‑works contract is for the demolition of an existing scale house and truck scale, followed by the design‑build construction of a new scale‑house building, two new truck scales, and extensive site improvements at the City of Salina Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The scope includes civil earthwork, grading, utility installation, storm‑water drainage, concrete paving, curb and parking improvements, fencing, gate automation, signage, lighting, and full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the scale‑house building. The contractor must coordinate with landfill operations, provide erosion‑control measures, and meet a substantial‑completion deadline of 31 December 2026. • Demolition of existing structures and installation of two 30‑ft truck scales with foundations and catwalks. • New 1‑story scale‑house building (structural, architectural, MEP) plus site‑wide utilities (water, sewer, electrical, communications). • Full site‑improvement works: grading, 4‑in. and 8‑in. concrete pavement, curbs, parking bumpers, wheel stops, signage, queue lights, fence, remote‑operated gate, and landscaping/seeding.
