Krome & Flagler Avenue W & S Upgrade and Transit Accessibility Improvements

The City of Homestead is seeking bids for the Krome & Flagler Avenue Water and Sewer Upgrade and Transit Accessibility Improvements project. The project includes water and sewer construction upgrades on Krome Avenue and Flagler Avenue, as well as transit accessibility improvements. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, means, methods, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as required by the Contract Documents. The project is funded by federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) grant. • The project consists of three parts: Krome Ave Water and Sewer Upgrade, Flagler Ave Water and Sewer Upgrade, and Krome Ave Transit Accessibility & Roadway Improvements. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to nondiscrimination, wages, social security, workers' compensation, licenses, and registration requirements. • The contractor must also comply with the City's insurance requirements, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation insurance. • The project has a tentative completion date of May 2026. • The City encourages participation from small and minority businesses, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms.
