EGB FY26 NPSS1 "MyfriendBen"

The Governor’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking to procure operations and maintenance and system improvement work on MyfriendBen’s screening technology. The scope of work includes maintenance and support, assistance program additions, UX enhancements, reduction of admin burden, and data and analytics. The project is expected to start on December 1, 2025, and end on January 29, 2026. The estimated total cost is $175,000. • The project involves working with MyfriendBen, a nonprofit organization, to customize their existing benefits software to meet the energy savings use case for Colorado. • The project includes adding more assistance programs, maintaining program rules and eligibility criteria, and enhancing the user experience. • The project also involves reducing the administrative burden of applying for energy assistance or rebates and maintaining a behavioral analytics dashboard. • The State has been engaging with MyfriendBen for a year and has collaborated with them to leverage and customize their existing benefits software. • The project is expected to deliver a customized benefits screener frontend, eligibility rules engine, and Rewiring America API integration.
