Field Initiated Projects Program (Research)

The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is soliciting research proposals under the Field Initiated Projects (FIP) Program to generate new knowledge and develop methods, products, procedures, or technologies that advance full inclusion and integration of people with disabilities. Up to 16 awards will be made, with 8 specifically earmarked for research. Each award will fund a 36‑month project (three 12‑month budget periods) and may range from $245,000 to $250,000. Eligible applicants include state governments, local governments, public and private higher education institutions, for‑profit and nonprofit organizations, and federally recognized tribal governments. The solicitation opens on September 25 2026 and applications are due by December 14 2026.
