Description

The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to repair, test, inspect, and return to Ready‑For‑Issue condition mechanical transmission assemblies (NSN 110900). The effort includes disassembly, cleaning, component repair or replacement, reassembly, and functional testing in accordance with the latest technical publications. The contractor must meet a Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) of 90 days from receipt of each asset, report receipt within five business days via the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system, and adhere to throughput constraints (monthly volume to be filled in by the offeror). All work must be performed at the contractor’s facility (identified as Goldhofer Airport Technology GmbH in Baden‑Württemberg, Germany) and comply with ISO 9001/SAE AS9100 quality standards, ANSI calibration requirements, and Navy configuration‑management clauses. The contract includes provisions for warranty (12 months), handling of Beyond Economic Repair (BER), Missing on Induction (MOI), and Over‑and‑Above Repair (OAR) items, with required DCMA approvals for any deviations. Early and incremental deliveries are preferred, and the solicitation has been extended to October 16 2026. • Repair, overhaul, testing, and acceptance of mechanical transmission assemblies (NSN 110900). • Mandatory 90‑day RTAT per asset; receipt reporting within 5 business days. • Throughput volume to be defined by offeror; no hard constraint indicated. • Work to be performed at contractor’s German facility; compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 and NAVSUP configuration‑management. • Warranty: 12 months; BER, MOI, OAR handling requires DCMA written concurrence. • Extension of solicitation deadline to 16 Oct 2026; no explicit submission deadline provided.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract value. Based on typical Navy repair contracts for specialized transmission assemblies, a mid‑size effort (several hundred to a few thousand units over the contract period) would likely be valued between half a million and several million dollars. Factors influencing the range include the volume of units, complexity of the transmission, required tooling, logistics for shipping to a German facility, and the 12‑month warranty obligation.
