Description

The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking industry partners to commercialize its Flow-based Volumetric Additive Manufacturing System. This technology enables high-throughput production of 3D printed parts with arbitrary geometries. The advantages of this system include faster production rates and continuous printing without manual operation. Potential applications include fast, accurate, and repeatable production of 3D printed parts. * The technology is currently at a development stage of TRL 3-5. * LLNL has filed for patent protection on this invention. * Companies interested in commercializing this technology should provide a statement of interest, including company name and address, point of contact, and a description of corporate expertise and/or facilities relevant to commercializing this technology.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as it is a collaboration for commercialization rather than a procurement. However, considering the potential applications and the development stage of the technology, a possible estimate could be in the range of $500,000 to $5,000,000. This estimate is based on the potential for high-throughput production of 3D printed parts and the possibility of licensing fees or royalties. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the level of investment required for commercialization, the potential market demand for the technology, and the negotiating power of the parties involved.
