Description
The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking qualified vendors to supply steel splice (timber‑pile) collars, 10‑inch and 12‑inch sizes, for a two‑year period. The collars are three‑piece assemblies, fabricated from ASTM A36 steel, without bolts (bolts will be provided by the State). Quantities are estimated at 40 sets of 10‑inch collars and 20 sets of 12‑inch collars per year, with up to four freight deliveries annually. Offers must be submitted electronically by the bid opening deadline, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• Supply of new, unpainted steel splice collars (10″ & 12″) – three‑piece sets, ¼‑inch & 3⁄8‑inch wall thickness respectively.
• Estimated annual demand: 40 × 10″ collars and 20 × 12″ collars (plus freight).
• Delivery to 1400 Shop Road, Columbia, SC within 30 days of each purchase order; freight is a separate line item.
• Award based on lowest unit price; vendor must be a single legal entity with a SC vendor registration.
• Contract term up to 2 years, with a minimum 30‑day offer validity after opening.
