Design-Build Services for a New Greenwood County Fire Station-523 Whitehall Road

Greenwood County is seeking a general contractor for the design and construction of a new fire station located at 523 Whitehall Road in Promise Land, SC. The project includes the design, permitting, clearing, grading, and construction of a single-story, approximately 7,500 SF fire station building with garage space for four fire apparatus and one EMS apparatus. The station will also have sleeping quarters, bathrooms, kitchen, utility room, office space, and meeting/multi-purpose room. The contractor will be responsible for providing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications, completing code compliance review, applying for and obtaining building permits, and constructing the proposed facility. • The project requires a metal building with a standing seam metal roof and brick veneer. • The contractor must provide a fire sprinkler system, backup generator, and site paving and marking. • The project includes a septic system and water line extension from Whitehall Road. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, including the Drug-free Workplace Act. • The project requires a bid bond or security in the amount of 5% of the base proposal. The evaluation criteria for this project include project team/experience, cost proposal, design, and local preference. The contract will be awarded to the proposer whose proposal is determined to be in the best interest of Greenwood County.
