Baseline Avenue at Palmetto Avenue Traffic Signal Project

The City of Fontana is soliciting a prime contractor (and qualified subcontractors) to design, supply, install, and commission a complete traffic‑signal system at the intersection of Baseline Avenue and Palmetto Avenue, together with associated street‑improvement work. The scope includes civil work, utility coordination, and post‑construction restoration. • Supply and install traffic‑signal hardware (controller cabinet, signal heads, pedestrian heads, mast arms, poles, foundations, pull‑boxes, underground conduit, fiber‑optic interconnect, emergency‑vehicle pre‑emption detectors, battery‑backup system, and control assemblies). • Perform related street‑improvement tasks: install curbs, gutters, curb ramps, sidewalks, driveway approaches, AC paving, signing, striping, and pavement‑marker installation. • Provide video‑inspection of existing sewer lines before and after conduit work, and restore all existing improvements to pre‑construction conditions. • Comply with prevailing‑wage requirements, retainage (5 %), bid‑bond (10 % of bid), performance and payment bonds (100 % of contract), and maintain a Class “A” or equivalent Class “C” specialty licensing.
