The Kennicott McCarthy Recreation Alliance (KMRA) is preparing a grant application to the Alaska Recreational Trails Program (RTP) to fund trail maintenance, enhancements, safety improvements, and signage on existing trails in the Kennicott‑McCarthy area for the 2027 season. The work will be carried out in partnership with the National Park Service from May 1 2027 through September 30 2027. Public comment on the proposed project is accepted until October 25 2026.
