TPT Manual Wire Bonder

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a TPT manual wire bonder. The wire bonder shall meet or exceed the following draft minimum specifications: * Capable of wedge, ball, and ribbon wire bonding * Allow a trained user to reconfigure the wire bonder for each of these bonding modes within 5 minutes * Capable of manual operation, where the X and Y positioning of the sample and Z position of the bonding tool are all manually controlled by the user * Support gold wire diameters from 17 um to 75 um (0.7 mil to 3 mil) * Support aluminum wire diameters from 17 um to 75 um (0.7 mil to 3 mil) * Support ribbon wire width from 20 um to 250 um * Have an ultrasonic transducer with PLL control operating between 60 and 70 kHz * Provide an ultrasonic power output range from 0 to 10 W * Provide a bond time range from 0 ms to 20,000 ms * Provide a bond force range from 5 cN to 200 cN * Use a 90 degree wire feed angle * Have a motorized clamp for wire * Have a throat depth greater than or equal to 165 mm * Have a fine table motion greater than or equal to 15mm * Have a temperature controller with upper limit greater than or equal to 250 C * Have a temperature controller with the temperature accuracy of +/- 1C or better * Be tabletop size that is smaller than 600 x 600 x 300 mm * Some of the key features of the operation interface specifications include: * An integrated operator interface * A display for the interface * Support storage of at least 20 bonding programs or recipes * Provide direct access and simple adjustment of bond parameters through the user interface
