Description

The United States Air Force is seeking a prototype for the Aerospace Readiness Enterprise System (ARES), which aims to replace legacy software programs such as Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Puckboard, and Graduate/Training Integration Management System (G/TIMS). The ARES system will leverage commercial software to the greatest extent possible and will be deployed within the Impact Level (IL) 4 partition with a path to IL-6 deployment thereafter. The system should provide enterprise capabilities for scheduling, standardization and evaluation (stan/eval), and training management. The prototype should meet the threshold requirements outlined in the solicitation and should be completed and available for inspection and use no later than 90 calendar days after contract award. Key considerations include the ability to integrate with existing systems, support for a large user base, and scalability. • The ARES system will be deployed on the OpsEA Salesforce platform. • The system should support approximately 70,500 active users combined across all three systems (G/TIMS, PEX, and Puckboard). • The prototype should demonstrate the ability to meet the threshold requirements outlined in the solicitation. • The system should be designed using Salesforce best practices for performance and scalability. • The Government reserves the right to award up to four prototypes, but based on current funding levels, may be restricted to awarding only three.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

Given the complexity of the project, the number of users it needs to support, and the 90-day completion requirement, the budget for this contract could be substantial. However, without specific details on the budget or payment terms, it's challenging to provide an accurate estimate. Considering the scope and the fact that it's a prototype, the budget might be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million. This estimate is based on typical costs for software development and prototype creation, especially when working with government agencies and considering the Salesforce platform integration. Factors influencing the payment range include the extent of customization required, the number of personnel involved, and the technology stack.
