Detention Center Mixing Valve Replacement

The Cumberland County Detention Center requires a licensed plumbing contractor to replace ten existing hot water mixing valves with new ones. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the replacement, including removing and disposing of the existing valves and installing new valve assemblies. The project must be completed within 120 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must also provide a 1-year complete parts and labor warranty for all work and a 10-year mixing valve parts warranty. • The contractor must be factory authorized in good standing with the manufacturer and located within 120 miles of the project site. • The contractor must provide a valve repair kit for spare parts and 2-hour on-site owner training to review operations and maintenance requirements. • The contractor must coordinate the schedule for work to be done during normal business hours and limit downtime for the domestic hot water during construction. • The contractor must provide full names, social security numbers, and dates of birth for all staff working on site to undergo a background check through the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
