Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to provide comprehensive furniture moving, installation, relocation, delivery, and storage services for the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System. The contractor must supply all personnel, equipment, and facilities needed to execute the work across multiple VA sites in Nevada (and one in California), maintain a secure 5,000‑sq‑ft storage facility within 10 miles of the primary medical center, and meet strict safety, reporting, and invoicing requirements. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price indefinite‑delivery vehicle with a base period of one year (Nov 1 2026 – Oct 31 2027) and up to four one‑year options, potentially extending to five years total. The solicitation is a 100 % SDVOSB set‑aside; only certified SDVOSBs are eligible. • Provide project‑lead coordination, installation‑lead supervision, and mover/packer/driver crews for disassembly, transport, reassembly, and reconfiguration of commercial office furniture. • Deliver and store furniture at designated VA facilities, maintaining inventory records and monthly inventory reports; storage must be secure, climate‑controlled, and within 10 road miles of the Ioannis A. Lougaris VA Medical Center (Reno, NV). • Submit daily service tickets, weekly status summaries, monthly inventory reports, incident reports (within next business day), and monthly invoices via VA’s electronic invoicing system; comply with all applicable VAAR and FAR clauses, including security and subcontracting limits.

Budget estimate

$5,000,000 – $30,000,000

The solicitation references the NAICS size‑standard ceiling of $34 million and includes a base‑period labor‑hour schedule plus a storage CLIN. Assuming an average labor rate of $75‑$120 per hour for project lead, installation lead, movers, and drivers, plus storage costs, a realistic total contract value is likely between $5 million and $30 million over the full five‑year term. The lower bound reflects a modest hourly rate and limited use of after‑hours services; the upper bound reflects higher rates, full utilization of all labor CLINs, and premium storage fees.
