The United States Air Force is soliciting proposals for the production of non-commercial unmanned Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) systems. The systems must be able to detect, locate, track, and identify cooperative and non-cooperative threats. The proposal must include a technical approach, a management approach, and a cost proposal. The technical approach must include a description of the system architecture, the hardware and software components, and the testing and validation plan. The management approach must include a description of the project schedule, the project organization, and the risk management plan. The cost proposal must include a detailed breakdown of the costs associated with the production of the systems.
Key features of the systems include:
• Dedicated 802.11 WiFi subsystem covering the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands
• Integration of primary SDR transceivers for RA and SC systems
• Integration of dedicated auxiliary SDR transceivers for 5G FR1 operations
• Compliance with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461H testing standards
• Maximum system weights strictly adhering to 500 lbs for RA, 350 lbs for SC, and 250 lbs for TMK
• Validated continuous operation in extreme ambient temperatures between 14 F (-10 C) and 122 F (50 C)
• Ingress Protection (IP) rating of at least IP65 or higher for all primary enclosures and external components
