One-Two SentencesDisposition has been recommended for Jacobs Hall (1961;24,026 GSF) and Wellons Hall (1965; 20,490 GSF) as both areformer residence halls that have been unsuitable fordormitory use for more than ten years and have since beenused primarily for storage and limited office functions.Each building is beyond its useful service life, is indeteriorated condition, and is consuming maintenanceresources disproportionate to its value. Due to physicalconstraints, such as limited floor-to-floor heights, andoverall condition, neither facility is considered a goodcandidate for cost-effective renovation or modernization.Accordingly, demolition is recommended to eliminate theongoing maintenance burden and support future campus siteplanning and redevelopment.
