Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, Division of Purchases is seeking bids for a master agreement contract for right-of-way trimming services in McCreary County, District 8. The contract includes two line items: Rights-of-Way Trimming and Maintain & Control Traffic. The contractor will be required to provide trimming services along various routes in McCreary County, and maintain and control traffic during the trimming operations. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations governing safety.
* The contractor will be required to trim vegetation around roadside obstacles, such as sign posts, delineator posts, utility poles, cable barrier, steel beam guardrail, guardrail posts, guardrail end treatments, headwalls, catch basins, bridge end abutments, mailboxes, newspaper boxes, landscape plantings, natural woody vegetation, and around paved and rock-lined ditches.
* The contractor will be required to maintain and control traffic during the trimming operations, and provide warning signs, flags, and other traffic control devices as necessary.
* The contractor will be required to provide a detailed work plan and certify that all employees working on the project have the necessary training and certifications.
* The contract will be for an initial period beginning upon award and expiring December 31, 2026, with optional renewal periods.
