Description

The State of Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is issuing an Invitation‑to‑Bid for the supply of self‑propelled, four‑wheel street‑sweeper broom units to be placed in its six district yards. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder and will run for up to five years, with an initial order of two units and one additional unit each subsequent year. Bidders must meet detailed technical specifications, provide training, manuals, a minimum three‑year manufacturer warranty, and satisfy all insurance and certification requirements. • Provide four‑wheel, mid‑mount self‑propelled street‑sweeper brooms that meet the extensive performance specs (cab with ROPS, hydraulic brush, diesel engine ≥70 HP, required LED lighting, etc.). • Deliver each unit FOB Destination to the designated ITD district yard within 180 calendar days of order, coordinate unloading, supply two copies of operator/parts manuals, and complete on‑site training within 14 days of acceptance. • Submit fully‑burdened pricing on Form B, maintain the required insurance (CGL, auto, workers’ comp, etc.) and certifications, and comply with Idaho procurement statutes; contract length up to five years with annual unit deliveries.

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $300,000

Based on typical market pricing for self‑propelled street‑sweeper brooms (approximately $30‑$60 k per unit) and the contract’s quantity schedule (2 units in year 1 plus 1 unit per year for up to 5 years, total 5 units), the total contract value is likely to fall between $150,000 and $300,000. This range accounts for variations in configuration, optional accessories, training, freight, and warranty extensions.
