Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

The City of Salina is seeking a contractor to design‑build a new scale‑house building and associated entrance facilities at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope includes demolition of existing structures, extensive site grading, concrete paving, installation of two truck scales with foundations and catwalks, full architectural and MEP work for the scale house, storm‑water management, fencing, signage, and post‑construction landscaping. The contract is a firm‑unit‑price bid with strict completion dates (substantial completion by 31 Dec 2026, final completion by 3 May 2027) and liquidated‑damage penalties for delays. • Demolition of existing scale house, truck scale, pavements, and fence. • New 8‑in. and 4‑in. concrete pavements, curb, wash‑out pits, and gravel parking lot. • Construction of a fully equipped scale‑house building (structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing). • Supply and installation of two truck scales, foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and remote display system. • Installation of utilities (HDPE drainage, PVC water/sewer, electrical conduit, generator) and site‑wide storm‑water/erosion controls. • Site furnishings (signage, bollards, gate, queue lights, wheel stops) and landscaping/seeding.
