CAL FIRE is conducting market research to design a Technical Assistance (TA) program that will support applicants and grantees of its Forest Health, Tribal Wildfire Resilience, and Regional Wildfire & Landscape Resilience grant programs. The effort emphasizes equitable access for disadvantaged, severely disadvantaged, and vulnerable communities, especially tribal and rural organizations. The selected provider will create and execute needs‑assessment surveys, develop assistance plans, and deliver direct support throughout the solicitation and implementation phases over a three‑year period.
• Conduct an initial needs assessment (surveys, orientation, data analysis) for past applicants and current grantees.
• Deliver Application TA to roughly 75 applicants per year (25 Forest Health, 40 Tribal, 10 Regional) including workshops, one‑on‑one consults, and training materials.
• Provide Grantee TA to about 53 grantees per year (30 Forest Health, 20 Tribal, 3 Regional) covering reporting, budgeting, data management, and project‑management assistance.
• Produce regular progress reports, approved assistance plans, and final summary deliverables; work scheduled Dec 2026 – Dec 2029.
