Description
The Jefferson County Department of Roads and Transportation is seeking bids for the resurfacing of approximately 5.16 mi of county roadways (Walker Chapel Rd, Cane Creek Rd, and Rex Lake Rd) in Jefferson County, AL. The work includes planing of existing pavement, placement of Superpave bituminous concrete layers, tack coat application, and complete pavement striping and traffic‑control devices. The contract value is estimated between $1.92 M and $2.30 M, with a strict 60‑working‑day completion schedule. A 5 % bid bond, 100 % performance and payment bonds, and a 10 % contingency are required, along with compliance to ALDOT 2026 specifications and numerous special provisions (road closures, insurance, seasonal limits, wage rates, etc.).
