Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a single‑prime contractor to design, construct, and complete median improvements along Eastwood Road (US 74/76) from Rogersville Road to Cavalier Drive. The work includes grading, removal of existing pavement, installation of reinforced concrete pipe culverts, new curb & gutter, drainage structures, asphalt paving (base, intermediate, surface), pavement markings, traffic‑signal upgrades, signage, utility adjustments, erosion‑control measures, landscaping (seed, sod, mulching, 18‑month maintenance), portable lighting for night work, and installation of water‑line tapping sleeves/valves. The contract is valued at an undisclosed amount, with a 150‑day construction window and liquidated damages of $530 per day for overruns. The contractor must provide performance and payment bonds (100 % of contract price), maintain 5 % retainage, and achieve a 14 % MBE/WBE subcontracting goal.
