Intent to sole source for the use of retired Merritt Island Launch Annex (MILA) at NASA Kennedy Space Center.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is announcing its intent to sole source an Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) for the Merritt Island Launch Annex (MILA) Facility, located at the Kennedy Space Center. The proposed EUL is intended to support NASA's mission by advancing the commercial space economy. The facility will be used for vehicle cryogenic testing requirements. NASA is seeking responses from interested parties by March 8, 2026, to assess additional market interest and determine whether to proceed with the proposed tenant. • The MILA Facility is located along the canal in the southern portion of NASA Stennis Space Center's fee area, adjacent to Road H. • The proposed EUL is a reasonable expansion to a current tenant to provide additional acreage for vehicle cryogenic testing requirements. • NASA will proceed in a manner that supports agency missions, U.S. national space policy, and maximizes public benefit.
