Description

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to provide atmospheric deposition station operation services for a cooperatively supported station between the USGS, the site owner, and operator. The contractor will be responsible for operating a NADP/NTN wet atmospheric monitoring station, which requires weekly site visits to collect, process, and ship precipitation samples, as well as performing routine instrument checks, maintenance, and repairs as needed. The ideal contractor will have extensive experience in monitoring atmospheric deposition measurement equipment and conducting laboratory chemical analyses of water samples. Some key points to consider include: • Operation of a NADP/NTN wet atmospheric monitoring station • Weekly site visits to collect, process, and ship precipitation samples • Routine instrument checks, maintenance, and repairs as needed • Extensive experience in monitoring atmospheric deposition measurement equipment and conducting laboratory chemical analyses of water samples

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific contract value. However, considering the scope of work, which includes operating and maintaining a single atmospheric monitoring station, the contract value is likely to be relatively low, possibly in the range of $50,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on the complexity of the station and the level of maintenance required. The budget may also depend on the duration of the contract, which is not specified in the document.
