The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to design, demolish, and construct a new scale‑house building and two truck‑scale units, plus extensive site‑improvement work at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The contract is firm‑price/unit‑price, covering demolition, new building construction, concrete paving, utility installation, storm‑water management, fencing, and related civil works. The project must be substantially completed by 31 December 2026 with final completion of any landscaping by 3 May 2027. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, followed by construction of a new multi‑disciplinary scale‑house building (architectural, structural, MEP). • Installation of two truck‑scale units (inbound/outbound), including foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and remote‑display wiring (contractor‑delegated design). • Comprehensive civil works: earthwork, grading, 8‑in. & 4‑in. concrete pavements, curbs, drainage, utility lines (water, sewer, electric, fiber), storm‑water controls, fencing, gate automation, and site‑access improvements. • Required performance and payment bonds, 5 % bid security, insurance, and compliance with Kansas weight‑and‑measure law, SWPPP, and City specifications.
