26-12 WTP Filter Underdrain Rehab

The Bay County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids from qualified vendors to rehab and replace filter underdrains and media at the Bay County Water Treatment Plant. The scope of work includes removing existing filter underdrain systems, replacing filter troughs and hardware, and installing new stainless steel underdrain systems and filter media. The contractor shall provide all submittals, shop drawings, and onsite meetings, as well as mobilization of equipment and labor, disposal of construction-generated waste, and chemical toilets for workers. The owner shall provide removal of existing filter media and all water used in the project. • The filter underdrain system shall be designed to withstand all loads due to design pressures, design loading rates, and loads from the media to be installed in the filter cell. • The underdrain system shall be constructed of stainless steel and shall include laterals laid in parallel, connected to inlet/outlet flume cover plates and sealed and anchored over the existing recessed influent/outlet trench. • The filter troughs shall be furnished and installed, with a capacity of 3,600 gpm at a minimum freeboard of two inches, and shall be constructed of 304 stainless steel. • The contractor shall provide a full-time superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • The project shall be completed in accordance with the scope of work included as Exhibit 2.
