Description
The Town of Hempstead is seeking on‑call engineering consultants to support a variety of community‑development initiatives, including downtown streetscape beautification and other municipal projects. Selected firms will be contracted for an initial one‑year term (with a possible one‑year extension) and will be called upon on an as‑needed basis to produce concept designs, prepare survey plans, develop design specifications and bid documents, and provide field supervision and payment schedule preparation. Proposals must include organizational information, staff resumes, fee schedule with multipliers, a designated point‑of‑contact, and recent relevant project experience in Nassau or Suffolk counties. Minority‑ and women‑owned businesses are encouraged to apply.
• Scope: Preliminary concept design, survey & design specs, bid document preparation, field supervision, payment schedule management.
• Contract length: 1 year (option for a second year).
• Delivery: On‑call, as‑needed for various town projects.
