Electromagnet Power Supply and Control System

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking responses from all responsible sources to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services for an electromagnet power supply and control system. The system should include a bipolar current-regulated power supply unit, a digital Teslameter/Gaussmeter, a Hall Effect probe, and a mounting bracket. The system should have a high stability for precision measurements of magnetic thin films and Magnetoresistive random access memory technologies. • The power supply unit should have at least 12 kW output power, at least 200 V output voltage, and at least 60 A output current. • The system should have a digital Teslameter/Gaussmeter with accuracy at +/-0.01 % of reading and +/- 0.006% of the full scale maximum at 25 degrees Celsius. • The system should have a Hall Effect probe with a 4 m long cable, compatible with the digital Teslameter/Gaussmeter. • The system should have proportional-integral-derivative-based regulation of the power supply current output using the measured field from the Hall effect probe.
