Insertion Valve and Line Stop Services

The City of Bradenton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide insert valve and line stop services for both potable water and sewer force mains ranging from 2 inches to 12 inches within the City’s utility network. The work includes under-pressure valve insertion, line stop, and all related site work. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating work with City Public Works to ensure minimal interruption to utility service. The City will provide onsite supervision to verify installation and witness pressure testing. • Insert valves on active potable water mains • Perform temporary line stops for isolation and maintenance • Conduct hydrostatic testing and disinfection • Install valve boxes and collars • Supply all necessary components for a complete installation • Excavate, backfill, and compact using suitable materials • Replace all disturbed surfaces • Provide grading and dirt work for proper drainage • Comply with OSHA, FDEP, and FDOT safety regulations • Provide maintenance of traffic during construction • Deliver photos, reports, and valve documentation as required
