Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is seeking a qualified contractor to provide 24/7 removal, repackaging, and disposal of lead‑acid and lithium‑ion batteries throughout the city. The contractor must respond to pickup requests within 2.5 hours during normal business hours and within 4 hours after hours, use DOT‑type X drums and non‑cellulose absorbent, transport the waste to an approved facility, and return empty containers for reuse. All bids are to be submitted electronically via PASSPort, with a mandatory electronic‑only requirement and a bid‑bond or certified‑check as security. The contract is a one‑year base term with two optional one‑year renewals.
