Description
The State of Michigan Department of Transportation is seeking a prequalified contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, testing, and as-built documentation necessary to install the foundations, conduits/cabling, grounding, and surge/lightning protection for an AWOS IIIP station in accordance with Vaisala Bi-Pad configuration and applicable FAA standards at six locations statewide.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Installation of foundations and cabling for AWOS IIIP system re-location/installation
• Compliance with Vaisala Bi-Pad configuration and applicable FAA standards
• Work to be performed at six locations statewide
• Mandatory minimum requirements include demonstrated experience with AWOS or equivalent aviation weather systems, familiarity with Vaisala outdoor installations, and being a currently listed MDOT Prequalified Contractor in the category of Licensed Electrical - airport/airfield utility work.
