Description
The US Army Engineer District Walla Walla is seeking a contractor to provide a 1500KW Load Bank for delivery and usage at the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery in Orofino, Idaho. The Load Bank shall meet the minimum salient characteristics specified in the technical specifications. The contractor shall provide all documentation required in the solicitation and deliver the Load Bank within 25 weeks of contract award. The contractor shall also provide a minimum one-year warranty on all parts, labor, and workmanship from factory defects.
• The Load Bank shall have a capacity of 1500KW, be of resistive type for outdoor use, and have a power factor of 1.0.
• The Load Bank shall have a voltage of 3-phase 480V and a frequency of 60 Hz.
• The Load Bank shall have load steps of 25KW resolution and a duty cycle of continuous.
• The Load Bank shall have PLC control with monitoring and data acquisition and remote control capability with Modbus RS-485 communication.
• The Load Bank shall have system protection, including fan failure, high exhaust temperature, high intake temperature, malfunction protection, lockout, and alarm.
• The Load Bank shall have overload, short circuit, and malfunction protection.
• The Load Bank shall have anti-condensation heaters with thermostatic control and a maximum ambient temperature of 120F.
• The Load Bank shall have forced air cooling, vertical airflow, and top exhaust.
• The Load Bank shall have a fan motor of 3-phase, 230/460V, 30 HP, TEFC.
• The Load Bank shall have an airflow of 60,000 CFM.
• The Load Bank shall have a three-part, powder-coated, double-walled enclosure.
• The Load Bank shall have resistive load elements constructed of stainless steel, Alloy FeCrAl, and ceramic clad, and rated for a minimum of 1080F maximum operating temperatures and 1920F maximum continuous temperature.
• The Load Bank shall be UL Listed and UL recognized.
