Traffic Signal Installations / Modernizations- Term Contract

The City of Garland is seeking bids for a term contract for traffic signal installations and modernizations. The contract will include the removal, relocation, and installation of new traffic signal appurtenances, including traffic signal pole and cabinet foundations, conduits and pull boxes, signal heads, and signal poles/mast arm assemblies. The contractor will be required to perform the work in accordance with the City's specifications and standards. The contract will have a term of 5 years, with four renewal options. • The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all alignment and construction staking and employing a Registered Licensed Surveyor or Engineer to supervise and direct this work. • The contractor will be required to provide a performance bond, payment bond, and maintenance bond. • The contractor will be paid based on a unit price contract, with payment made on a monthly basis. • The contractor will be required to submit a monthly estimate of the work completed, and the City will make an approximate confirming estimate of the value of the work done. • The contract will include provisions for mobilization, emergency mobilization, and construction scheduling.
