COLLAR,STEERING ARM

The US Navy is seeking a contractor to repair and overhaul steering arm collars. The contractor will be responsible for providing the necessary facility, labor, materials, parts, and test and tooling equipment to return the items to a Ready For Issue (RFI) condition. The contractor must maintain a quality control system, provide quality assurance documentation, and ensure that all parts and materials used are in accordance with the latest approved revision of applicable drawings and specifications. The contractor will also be required to perform receiving inspections, maintain records of data collection, and provide a calibration system that meets the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 or an equivalent calibration program. Some key points to consider include: * The contractor must provide a throughput constraint for each NSN. * The contractor must obtain final inspection and acceptance by the Government for all assets within the RTATs established in the contract. * The contractor must maintain a historical record file to contain copies of applicable data and documents for individual CLINs and assemblies. * The contractor must ensure that all parts and materials used are in accordance with the latest approved revision of applicable drawings and specifications. * The contractor must provide a quality assurance program plan that defines the specific methods by which compliance with contractual requirements will be assured.
