The City of Salina is seeking a qualified general contractor to design, demolish, and construct a new scale‑house building with associated truck scales, site grading, pavement, utilities, fencing, and landscaping at the municipal solid waste landfill. The work includes full architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, storm‑shelter doors, and compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations. The contract is unit‑price based, with substantial completion required by 31 December 2026 and final completion by 3 May 2027. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, disposal of debris. • New 2‑story scale‑house building with ICC‑500/FEMA‑rated storm‑shelter door set, interior finishes, and complete MEP systems. • Installation of two truck scales, foundations, catwalks, approach slabs, and utility connections. • Earthwork, grading, concrete pavements (≈100 k sf), curbs, sidewalks, and rip‑rap splash pads. • New fencing (≈2,700 LF) with remote‑operated gate, bollards, and traffic control devices. • Utility installation (12‑inch water, sewer, conduit, electrical service, diesel generator, fiber conduit). • Storm‑water management, erosion control, and landscaping (≈9.55 ac).
