Relocation and Qualification of FLU-8B/P Automatic Inflation Device Manufacturing

The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking to negotiate and award a sole source contract with Eaton Mission Systems Division for the relocation and qualification of manufacturing of the FLU-8B/P Automatic Inflation Device. The device is a critical safety item designed to automatically inflate aircrew life preservers in emergency situations. The contractor will be required to relocate manufacturing operations, validate production capability, and deliver first article test samples. • The device utilizes an electro-explosive primer to activate a CO2 cylinder for inflation. • The contractor must possess the necessary engineering capability, resources, expertise, and data to satisfy the government's minimum requirements. • Expressions of interest in subcontracting should be directed to Ben Kerlin at [email protected].
