Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

This municipal contract calls for the demolition of an existing scale house and truck scale at the Salina MSW Landfill, followed by design‑build construction of a new scale‑house building, two new truck scales, and comprehensive entrance‑improvement works. The work includes site preparation, utility installation, storm‑water management, concrete paving, fencing, lighting, signage, and related civil and structural components, all while the landfill remains operational. • Demolition of the old scale house and scale, plus earthwork, grading, and erosion‑control. • New 2‑story scale‑house building (structural, architectural, MEP) and two truck scales with foundations, catwalks, and approach slabs. • Installation of 4‑in and 8‑in concrete pavement, curbs, guardrails, queue lights, remote‑operated gate, bollards, fencing, and site‑wide utility conduits (water, sewer, electrical, fiber). • Storm‑water drainage system, rip‑rock splash pads, and full compliance with SWPPP and NPDES permits. • Project schedule requires substantial completion by 31 Dec 2026 and final completion (including seeding) by 3 May 2027, with liquidated‑damage penalties for delays.
