Description

The US Navy is seeking a contractor to repair mechanical actuators. The contract will require the contractor to perform all inspection and testing requirements as specified in the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings. The contractor must also adhere to IUID requirements and provide a throughput constraint for each National Stock Number (NSN). The government is requesting a repair turnaround time (RTAT) of 270 days after receipt of the asset. The contractor must also provide a firm-fixed price for the repair of the subject item(s) and include all costs associated with receipt and complete repair of material that may be in incomplete condition, missing hardware, damaged, handling damage, missing parts, and wear damage. • The contract will be for a fixed price. • The contractor must provide a quote that includes the repair unit price, total price, RTAT, and new unit price. • The contractor must also provide a cost breakdown, including profit rate, if feasible. • The government reserves the right to perform any inspections deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. • The contractor must keep complete and accurate records of all inspection work and make them available to the government during the performance of the contract and for a period of 365 calendar days after final delivery of supplies.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the repair unit price and the total number of units to be repaired. However, since the document does not provide a specific number of units or a price range, it is difficult to provide an accurate estimate. Assuming an average repair unit price of $10,000 and a total of 100 units to be repaired per year, the total budget for the contract could be around $1,000,000 per year. However, this is a rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower depending on the actual number of units and the repair unit price. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the repair work, the cost of materials and labor, and the level of competition among contractors.
