The Oregon Department of Transportation is seeking a consultant to update the City of Central Point Transportation System Plan. The plan must identify an integrated network of multi-modal transportation facilities and services consistent with the Transportation Planning Rule updates for local governments located within metropolitan planning organization boundaries. The project will develop an updated Transportation System Plan that includes goals, policies, performance measures, and implementing regulations to support the City's Comprehensive Plan and create a safe and reliable multi-modal transportation system.
The key objectives of the project include:
• Identifying, mapping, and assessing existing transportation, transit, and parking facilities
• Identifying appropriate transportation options, transportation system management, and transportation demand management techniques
• Identifying how the investments and policies in the Transportation System Plan support the path to reach regional greenhouse gas reduction targets
• Preserving the function and capacity of transportation facilities to support the economy and movement of goods
• Reviewing and updating typical street cross-sections to support land uses and safety for all modes
• Identifying transportation needs in potential climate-friendly areas
• Filling gaps and improving safety on pedestrian and bicycle routes to schools and key destinations
